The Labour Party (LP) voiced optimism on Wednesday that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, will be supported by the Supreme Court’s decision tomorrow (Thursday).
Earlier, Anaedoonline.ng had reported that the Supreme Court had set Thursday for the delivery of the ruling it had reserved on the two challenges that sought to invalidate President Bola Tinubu’s election.
Atiku and Obi are contesting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) ruling that All Progressives Congress (APC) President Bola Tinubu was the legitimate victor of the February 25 presidential election.

The Labour Party’s national legal officer, Kehinde Edun, claimed in advance of the court’s decision that Obi will be deemed the winner.
Edun claims that the party has made its case in court and that they anticipate winning because it is what justice requires.
He went on to say that after the court’s decision, there will be celebration across the nation.
Edun said, “We are expecting victory because that is what justice demands; that is what Nigerians want. We will not lose hope. We have presented our case before the court.
“We are confident of victory for the Labour Party and Nigerians. We know that there will be jubilation everywhere in Nigeria.”
