Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has been hailed by veteran Nollywood actor turned politician Kenneth Okonkwo as a deserving mentor and tenacious warrior.

No matter the Supreme Court’s decision about the 2023 presidential election, Okonkwo stated that he would always be appreciative of having defended Obi.

The LP leader made this statement in a post on Thursday via his X platform account, following the apex court’s earlier dismissal of Obi’s case challenging President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the elections held on February 25.

But Okonkwo asserted that Obi is still a guy of integrity, ability, and competence regardless of the outcome from any institution.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their electoral support of Obi and LP.

“I will always be grateful to God to represent His Excellency, @PeterObi, in this petition up to the Supreme Court. He is a worthy mentor and a dogged fighter for a new Nigeria, a man of character, competence, and capacity, no matter whatever any institution says.

“I thank you all for your unfailing love and support for @peterobi. We must not abandon the struggle for a new Nigeria because we don’t have another country. Thank you, and God bless. My love for you all,” he wrote.
