Background of the Case:

The claimant alleges that in early 2023, Davido approached Mr. Pinnick, and they agreed on a fee of N70 million for Davido’s performance at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again Concert’ event scheduled for October 6, 2023.

A payment of US$94,500.00 (equivalent to N70 million) was made on April 6, 2023, which Davido acknowledged. However, despite doing a promotional video for the event, Davido failed to show up on the day of the event.

The claimant asserts that they spent substantial resources on promotional efforts for the event and chartered a private jet, incurring additional expenses of $18,000. Despite all efforts, Davido and his team did not attend the event.

In response to these alleged breaches of the agreement, Brownhill Investments Company Limited is seeking full payment of $94,500 for engaging Davido’s services.
