FULL LIST: IGP Egbetokun Orders Posting and Redeployment of Senior Police Officers

The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has ordered the posting and redeployment of 40 senior police officers, including 14 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and 26 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to various commands and formations in the country. This move is aimed at having a professionally competent, service-driven, rule of law-compliant, and people-friendly police force.

The newly posted/redeployed AIGs and CPs will be assigned to various zones, states, and specialized units within the Nigerian Police Force. The redeployment is part of an effort to reflect the new status of senior officers who were recently elevated to their next ranks.

• The AIGs affected by the redeployment include:

  • AIG Badru Lawal (Border Patrol FHQ)

  • AIG Idowu Owohunwa (FCID Annex Alagbon Lagos)
  • AIG Rhoda Olofu (Maritime Lagos)
  • AIG Godwin Aghaulor (Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia Awka)
  • AIG Effiom Ekot (ONSA Abuja)
  • AIG Anene Innocent (CTU FHQ Abuja)
  • AIG Odama Ojeka (Zone 16 Yenagoa)
  • AIG Ebong Eyibio (Zone 4 Makurdi)
