Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to promoting peace in the state and underlined his willingness to make whatever necessary sacrifices.

At a special convocation ceremony at Pamo University of Medical Sciences, the Governor expressed this passion and vowed to sustain the peace brokered by Bola Tinubu.

A major political realignment occurred as a result of the long-running conflict between Governor Fubara and Nyesom Wike, as 27 MPs left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Notably, Wike discovered that his party was gaining support in the State House. Wike is currently a minister in the APC’s central administration.
