Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), often known as petrol, won’t see a price increase anytime soon, according to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
In a press statement published on its official X (formerly Twitter) page, the NNPC stated that the speculations circulating about the rise in petrol prices to N1,200 are untrue.

The public is reassured by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. that there won’t be any immediate increases to the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), or fuel.
NNPC Ltd. assures Nigerians that there are no preparations for an upward revision of the PMS price and advises them to ignore baseless speculations.
Drivers across are cautioned against panic buying because PMS is currently widely available throughout the nation.
