If elected in 2023, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running partner, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, promised to cease strikes by medical practitioners and members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Obi told a crowd of supporters at a huge event in Owerri, Imo State’s capital, that with Baba-Ahmed as his running mate, they will ensure that power is returned to the people, particularly youths and women.
He also stated that job creation, agricultural investment, and export prioritization will be high on their agenda.
