At the bank road in Nnewi today, a mobile policeman believed to be attached to the Diamond bank reportedly fired few shots in a quarrel that ensued between him and a customer of the bank.
The quarrel which led to a fight between the said customer and the policeman attached to the bank left one of the private securities of the bank with injuries.
A cleaner at the said bank who pleaded anonymity said the policeman ordered the man to park his motorcycle outside the gate, which when he refused and led the policeman to react by pushing the man who in turn took the fight head-on.
The man struggled with the gun of the policeman which resulted in the discharge of a bullet, with the bullet injuring one of the bank’s securities in the eye.
It took the intervention of other security officers on ground to restore calmness, as the customer who was engaged in the quarrel with the policeman was arrested and taken to the police station thereafter.
