Customers wary of long queues at ATM’s in Nnewi

Long Queues at Bank ATM’s seems to have become a prevalent occurrence in Nnewi, especially the Bank Road. With weekends appearing to be the worse days, the services of Banks operating in Nnewi have been lampooned by customers.
Today, our reporters visited bank road and noticed the usual long queues at the ATM’s, with bank customers who were seen at the Queue looking tired and frustrated. Some left without cashing money after seemingly waiting for a very long time for their turn to make withdrawals due to machines not able to dispense cash.
Our Reporters discovered that people spend hours on queue especially when only a few of the ATM’s out of the numerous ATM’s are able to dispense money.
Some customers who spoke to our reporters said that they came all the way from Oraifite and Ichi to Nnewi to make withdrawals owing to the fact that there are no ATM machines in those places.
However, our Reporters encountered a mammoth crowd at First Bank premises and hostile security operatives of the bank who insisted that our reporters leave their premises without interacting with the Customers or taking pictures of them.
