FIRS SEALS KINGS PALACE HOTEL, NNEWI
The Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Tuesday, December 11, sealed up the two locations of the Kings Palace Hotel, located along Nnobi Road, Nnewi.
Anaedoonline correspondent, who filed on-the-spot information about the development informed that vehicles and customers were barred from gaining entry into the premises of the hotel.
Anaedoonline learnt that the development followed the inability of the hotel to meet up with its financial obligation of paying its taxes as necessary, but the officials of the FIRS would not tell our reporter the actual amount owed in tax by the hotel.
The management of the hotel could also not be reached for their comments but a staff who does not want her name mentioned, said she was not surprised that the hotel could not pay tax because workers were owed up to six months salary arrears.
