Former President of Nigeria, Shehu Shagari has passed on at the age of 93.
He passed away on Friday evening at the National Hospital in Abuja, aged 93.
According to his grandson, Bello Shagari, he passed on after a brief illness.

Since his death was announced Tributes have continued to pour in, for the Sixth President of Nigeria as many recounted his good deeds when he was President.
