NNEWI PROFESSIONALS AND BUSINESS LEADERS ENDORSES ANDY UBAH.

The Nnewi professionals and business community have endorsed the All Progressive Alliance (APC) Anambra South Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Andy Ubah.

The endorsement took place during the Special meeting of Nnewi professionals and business community, which took place at Anaedo Hall, yesterday, Thursday, 21st February, 2018.

According to the convener of the meeting, the meeting was convened on the primary need for Ndi Nnewi to come together under one umbrella to take a position as it concerns the 2019 General Election.

Speaking further, he said that Ndi Nnewi have continued to excel in area of commerce and industry but the fact still remains that presently, Nnewi is yet to have her ground politically.

He submitted that the meeting became necessary for Ndi Nnewi to plan and take a position on how to vote in the 2019 election, which will be in the overall interest of the town and not on the interest of few individuals.

On the position of Nnewi on who will represent the zone in the Nigeria Senate, the meeting reached a consensus to endorse the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Anambra South Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Andy Ubah.

Speaking on the reason why the endorsement became necessary, Chief George Mouhaglu said that the endorsement of Dr. Andy Ubah is an endorsement for Ndi Nnewi to produce the Governor of Anambra State in 2022, he said that it is important Ndi Nnewi take this bold step in other to be in an advantageous position more than the Old Aguata region ahead of 2022 Governorship election, when the slot of the Governorship is expected to rotate to Anambra South.

He also encouraged voters in Nnewi not to put their egg in one basket as it concerns the Presidential Election, he emphasized on the necessity to vote for His Excellency, Mohammadu Buhari, who is expected to hand over an Igbo President in 2023.

The meeting however ended abruptly as their was totally blackout of electricity inside the hall, which was considered to be a sabotage from the management of Anaedo Hall.

The meeting was attended by many bigwigs in Nnewi business community
