Nonso Okafor, Others, In High Spirit As Young Legislators Conference Ends.

After several presentations,discussions, talk sessions and master classes on core legislative issues, Anambra State House of Assembly Member-Elect for Nnewi North State Constituency, Nonso Okafor, and his fellow young legislators across the thirty six (36) states in Nigeria, who are between the ages of 25-40 years, have resolved to change the narrative of representation in their different constituencies.

The conference which took place at Transcorp Hilton, Maitama, Abuja, from Tuesday 7th to Wednesday 8th May, 2019, had in attendance over three hundred (300) state and federal legislators in Nigeria.

The conference which provided a unique platform for the Member-Elects to build their competence, network, share experiences and work for greater representation of their constituency, had different speakers including experienced lawmakers, leaders with inspiring stories, development partners, academics and civil societies leaders, speaking on social and political issues that affects the legislature in Nigeria.

Organized by the ‘Not Too Young To Run Movement’ in conjunction with Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement (YIAGA), ‘The Convergence 2.0’ has empowered and strengthened Member-Elects like Nonso Okafor, the kind of skills in running a robust legislative process and effective constituency representation.

For Nonso Okafor (Smart), he is now better prepared and ready to deliver quality representation to Ndi Nnewi against all odds.
