Madam Sylva Elected New APGA State Working Committee Member

Hon. Vero Ejekwuone Nweke popularly known as Madam Sylva, a native of Umumejiaku Uruagu, Nnewi has been elected the new State Working Committee, APGA Anambra State, representing Nnewi North. She was elected on 23rd May 2019.

In an anaedoonline.ng exclusive interview with Hon VERO, she said: “I am very glad, I didn’t even expect it but it’s all by God’s Grace.”

“I was a market leader prior to this appointment, I am the current women leader of all the women that deal on motorcycle spare parts, the first woman Assistant Secretary and first woman to be in New Auto Spare parts Association (NASPA) executive from 2017-till date and also the Vice President, Anambra State Market Women Association, Nnewi Zone from 2014-till date. Speaking Further, “In religious aspect, I was the C.W.O President St. Michael Cath. Church Umudim Nnewi from 2003-2009, Treasurer of St. Christopher Cath. Community (under St. Michael’s Cath. Church, Umudim Nnewi) from 2009-2015 and also the first woman Vice Chairman of the St. Christopher Cath. Community from 2015-till date,” she said.

Madam Sylva was one of the first group of women to be into motorcycle spare parts business

According to her, politics is not meant for only men, women can even do better than men in leadership and politics.

In her agenda for ndi Nnewi, she said that she has the plan of working with other stakeholders in Nnewi with the aim of identifying the grassroots problems of our party and also finding ways to solve them. To serve as a link between the party bigwigs at the state level and Nnewi local government with other party officials. She also intends to ensure unity and progress among party members and many other good agendas she has in mind to achieve for ndi Nnewi with her good office.
