Lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly have commenced the process of impeaching the state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi.
Information gathered revealed that 14 lawmakers have signed a notice of impeachment of the Deputy Governor, on the allegation of gross misconduct against him.

Anaedoonline.com had earlier reported that armed mobile police officers have taken over the premises of the Ondo State House of Assembly with moves to impeach the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.
Meanwhile, the State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, on Monday filed a suit against the state House of Assembly at the Federal High Court, over an alleged plan to impeach him.

Mr Ajayi in the suit filed against that the state House of Assembly by his Counsel, Mr I. Olatoke, SAN, included the House of Assembly, the Inspector General of Police, the State Commissioner of Police, Department of State Services and the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr David Oleyeloogun as defendants in the case.
However, some lawmakers have disassociated themselves from the impeachment process of the deputy governor.
