The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday released list of candidates eligible to participate in the Okigwe senate election.
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has been listed among eligible candidates for the Okigwe Senate Elections. Recall that the Federal High Court, Owerri had ordered INEC to replace Frank Ibezim with Senator Araraume as candidate for the APC.
Justice Tegem, in his ruling, in Suit no FHC/Ow/101/2020, nullified the election of Frank Ibezim as candidate of the party, on the grounds that he was disqualified by the party’s screening Committee before the primary election.

According to the commission, other eligible candidates in the senate election include Hon Emmanuel Okewulonu (PDP), Ndubueze Patrick (Accord), Emmanuel Ogueri, (AA), Nathaniel Chukwudi Uba (AAC), Chigozie Kennedy Onyinye (ADC), Charles Onyirimba (APGA), Ralpheal Mabchu (APM), Ernest Ezirim (APP).
