Fear has gripped inhabitants and motorists as the bridge connecting Umuezena and other communities in Umudim Nnewi is on the verge of collapse.
The bridge which was built during the administration of former Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi has suffered severe cracks in the last two years.
The bridge which is located in Umuezena, Umudim, Nnewi, is not up to two (2) kilometers away from the house of Late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Ikemba Nnewi) and a stone throw to the house of Former Governor of Anambra State, Dame Virginia Etiaba.
The bridge which has continued to suffer major cracks in the last two (2) years, has always been maintained by the community before the recent cracks.
Resident and motorists have expressed fear of the recent development and have called on the government to come to their aid.
