Judikay, born Judith Kanayo, hails from Osimili South, in the Aniomma axis of Delta State. Judikay was birthed on 26 October as the first child in a family of 4 beautiful children. She grew up singing in the church.
Judikay was enrolled in the elementary school where she obtained her FSLC (first school leaving certificate). She progressed to the Dalos College Ota for her secondary school education.
Despite her career as a gospel artist, Judikay still made sure to be educated up to the University level. She bagged a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Theatre and Film studies of Redeemers University.
Career – How she began
Judikay’s journey in the music world started with backup roles. She was a backup singer for Akinwunmi
Nathan Oluniyi Akiremi. In 2013, she made the move into a front-seat singer, to say, when she released Her first single titled “Nobody Else”.
Judikay hit the limelight in the Gospel world when she released “More Than Gold”, a very heart-warming, inspirational, and spirit-filled song in 2019 featuring popular gospel actress, Mercy Chinwo. From then up till now, it is correct to say that Judikay has yet to look back
