What could have looked like a terrible mayhem has just been fortunately averted in Abuja earlier today, along Shehu Yar’adua bridge.
A Kia Optima Saloon car was said to have swerved and derailed, making its way into the Jabi Lake; however, no life was lost.
Officials of both the Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as well as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have intervened and ensured that the vehicle is towed out of the lake.
In their statement, the FRSC stated that no life was lost as the driver, who was the only one in the vehicle, escaped the tragedy unscathed.
