Labour Party Reacts Over Alleged Planned Assassination Attempt On Peter Obi

Emeka Obasi, the media aide to Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate Peter Obi, has responded to allegations made by Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council, that his principal is planning a fake assassination attempt on himself in order to tarnish the APC’s image.

Remember that previously revealed that Keyamo accused Obi of disseminating a hateful film online in an effort to discredit Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.

However, in response to the accusations, Obi’s image maker expressed surprise.

He pondered the benefits of fabricating a false assassination attempt for his principal and the LP.


Obasi questioned if the APC was planning to make the attempt and blame the former governor of Anambra state for their actions.

He said; “It is a fallacy! You media people should also know when you see something fallacious. Does Peter looks like someone who pretends or fakes things? What do we gain to start faking assassination attempt? Are they in anyway trying to carry out such attempt and seeking on blaming Obi for it? The public deserves to know and that’s what we should put up in the press.

“Does Keyamo knows more than we know and just using this opportunity to cry wolf? What is his plan for uttering this kind of stupid statement? Does he think Obi is part of the Old Order who are always desperate for power? Whenever he says ‘Go and verify’, does it look like scheming?”

Obasi continued by claiming that since they are aware of Keyamo’s prior actions, his charges are valid.
He claimed, nevertheless, that coming up with an assassination plan was a poor idea.
