The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu’s workout video, according to the governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, was shared without his permission.

In the video he posted on Sunday via his Twitter account, Tinubu reportedly refuted rumors that he had dropped out of the 2020 presidential run, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

In a statement posted in conjunction with the video, Tinubu said he is strong, healthy, and prepared to serve Nigerians right away.

“Well… Nope. This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am READY to serve Nigerians from Day One,” he had said.

But Umahi said the APC presidential candidate’s video shouldn’t draw unwarranted attention while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program on Monday.

The governor of Ebonyi further stated that Tinubu is qualified to serve as Nigeria’s president in 2023 and urged Nigerians to ignore rumors of his poor health.

Many Nigerians, according to Umahi, who are doubting his suitability for the top position in the country are being petty.

He said: “Nobody is totally well and nobody is totally sick. That is one point. Another point is that Nigerians are so petty. A man that is doing his workout is being videoed and circulated on social media without his knowledge.

“I don’t think we should concentrate on intangibles because life is like a bus and you don’t know where the next bus stop is. Some of the people talking about the health of leaders of this country do not even know where their own bus stop is coming from. Every life and death rests in the hands of God.”
