Following a statement by Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Adamu Garba, has asked Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi to resign from the 2023 presidential election.

Anaedoonline.ng previously reported that Soludo claimed on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday evening that Obi’s investments as governor of Anambra were “worth next to nothing.”

He had said: “I don’t know about the investment. I’m not talking about the investments of any of my predecessors. By the way, the one that you talked about I don’t know about that.

“I think there was something I read about somebody speculating about whatever investment. With what I’ve seen today, the value of those investments is worth next to nothing. So, let’s leave that aside.”

In a tweet on Friday, Garba responded to the interview by saying the LP candidate lied about the investments he made on behalf of the state.

As a result, the APC chairman recommended Obi to resign from the 2023 presidential election and apologize to Nigerians for dishonesty.

He wrote: “Peter Obi’s lies are further exposed by Governor of Obi’s “heavenly” Anambra state, Chukwuma Soludo.

“Soludo says Peter Obi’s beer factory investment is next to nothing and might not be in existence. Peter Obi should withdraw from this contest and profusely apologize to Nigerians.”
