Lyon right back, Malo Gusto is set to join Chelsea after the two clubs struck a deal on his future.
Chelsea agreed to pay Lyon £26.3 million plus add-ons for Malo Gusto, who is 19 years old.
According to the terms of the agreement, the French fast-rising star will join Chelsea at the end of the 2022-2023 season.
Lyon’s board of directors announced to Lyon head coach Laurent Blanc that Gusto will remain with the team for the remainder of the season.

“The board have guaranteed to me that (Rayan) Cherki and Malo Gusto will be here until the end of the season,” Blanc told reporters on Friday.
This comment echoed Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas Aulas, who stated on social media that Gusto will remain with the French giants once the transfer window closes.
Gusto will now return to Lyon on loan for the remainder of the season after Chelsea completed his transfer.
Chelsea wants to complete the transaction as soon as possible because Manchester United and Tottenham are also interested in signing the France Under-21 international.
Despite having added 16 players to its squad since Todd Boehly’s consortium purchased the club last summer, the Blues are still hoping to add to head coach Graham Potter’s roster in January.
