Joe Igbokwe, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticised Lloyd Ikechukwu Ekweremadu, the son of imprisoned Nigerian senator Ike Ekweremadu, for conducting a lavish wedding ceremony despite his parent’s incarceration.

Earlier, news outlets stated that Tiffany Adaobi Obinna-Uzor and Lloyd were married on Saturday.

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Peter Obi, and other prominent politicians attended the wedding ceremony, which was place at the Basilica of Grace, Anglican Communion, Gudu District Abuja.

Ekweremadu, his wife, and Dr. Obeta were found guilty on March 23, 2023, of planning to use the youngster for their kidney.

In response to Ekweremadu’s son’s wedding, Joe Igbokwe said on his Facebook page that the celebration would have been low-key given the parents’ situation.

The APC leader asserted that Llody would have postponed planning such a gathering until his parents had recovered their freedom.
