Sir Jude Idimogu, the deputy leader of the Ndigbo All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, has pleaded with the opposition parties to give President Bola Tinubu room to breathe and concentrate on running the country.

On Friday, Idimogu made the request while interacting with reporters.

The former lawmaker, who served Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, stated that opposition parties and their candidates should support the President in the 2023 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s ruling for the good of the country.

He begged lawmakers who opposed Tinubu’s election to refrain from taking any acts that would damage the reputation of the nation.

The accusations made against Tinubu by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, according to Idimogu, are politics carried too far and have the potential to harm the nation’s reputation.

“All I want to tell good Nigerians is to understand that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, did not and will never forge any certificate, and whatever he submitted to INEC is clean and true.

“We want to appeal to Nigerians to calm down and not allow themselves to be deceived by those dragging Nigeria’s name in the mud.

“We want the opposition to allow our President, who God gave to us to breathe. Please allow him to breathe for the sake of the masses,” Idimogu said.
