According to the Lagos Coroner Court, the primary objective of the autopsy is to ascertain the cause of death for the deceased singer Mohbad, and this is being carried out in the USA.
O. Akinde, the state attorney, informed Adetayo Shotobi, the coroner magistrate, on Wednesday that the autopsy on the deceased’s external body had finished.
Following concerns raised by TNKay Music Worldwide’s David Nawoola and O.S.A. Aranmolaran, a representative of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikorodu, and Mohbad’s father David Fadimu, Akinde made the revelation.

The state counsel said, “The toxicology test, which has to do with the internal body, is being done in the US.”
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, in a contentious manner. The next day, he was buried in Lagos State’s Ikorodu neighbourhood.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, ordered a forensic investigation to determine the cause of death in response to the outcry that followed his death.
In addition, on the advice of the IGP, Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa assembled a 10-person team, which included a pathologist, to exhume the singer’s body and look into his death.
