In a pivotal moment for the automotive industry, the Innoson Kiara Academy (IKA) hosted a two-week Auto Diagnostics Refresher Course, towards the end of a year-long apprenticeship program, marking the end of work package 4 of the IVM-BOSCH programme.

Situated at Nnewi’s heart of innovation, Innoson Kiara Academy in Umudim Nnewi, Anambra State, became the epicenter of cutting-edge training in the repair and maintenance of automobiles.

From December 1st to 14th, 2023, the Innoson Kiara Academy under the visionary leadership of the CEO, Mr. Endi Ezengwa welcomed a large number of enthusiastic participants for this intensive program.

Sponsored by the renowned German Auto Company, BOSCH, German cooperation, DEG/develoPPP.de the training aimed to equip young professionals with up-to-date techniques on automotive diagnostics.

The course featured an array of advanced automotive tools, including the Air Conditioning Machine, Battery Tester, Brake Fluid Tester, Battery Charger, and Car Scanner. Through a meticulously designed curriculum, participants delved into the intricacies of these tools, gaining hands-on experience that would set them apart in the industry.

The program was not just about theoretical knowledge. It incorporated daily teachings, question segments, and practical sessions at the Innoson Kiara Academy, providing a comprehensive learning experience.

A visit to the Innoson Vehicle manufacturing plant further unveiled several aspects of auto engineering. Trainees had the opportunity to learn from expert facilitators, further enhancing their understanding of the complexities of modern automobile diagnostics.

Innoson Kiara Academy Kickstarts Three-Day Staff Retreat

One of the highlights of the course was a market tour on December 8th, where trainees explored the intricacies of spare parts, their locations and prices. This hands-on approach aimed to ensure that the participants not only comprehended the theoretical aspects but also gained practical insights into the challenges of the automotive industry.

As the two weeks concluded, approximately 394 individuals successfully participated in this refresher course. Their newfound skills and knowledge not only position them as valuable assets in the automotive sector but also contribute to addressing the skills gap and unemployment challenges among Nigerian youths.
