FAVOUR SAMS FOUNDATION FEEDS BEGGARS IN ANAMBRA

Touched by the growing suffering of beggars, who roam the streets of Anambra State without food, NGO, Favour Sams Foundation, Sunday, 18th November 2018, took to the streets to feed and give succour to them.

Anaedooline reports that the Foundation was conceived to help beggars, the physically challenged and the needy in the society through health advocacy, empowerment, support programs, and other a measures aimed at reducing hunger and hardship.

Speaking during the exercise, founder of the NGO, Ejike Favour, expressed her joy and thanked God for the successes the foundation has recorded so far since inception; adding that the Foundation was able to feed more than 450 beggars in Nnewi, Awka and Onitsha during the outreach held on Sunday, November 18, where the Foundation gave out food, clothes, drinks, toiletries, money and other items.

“Our vision is not only to feed beggars, but we are also looking in the area of engaging in health advocacy, empowerment and support programs. We want to take beggars off the streets and engage them meaningfully; so that they will be productive and useful citizens”.

She thanked all those who had in one way or the other contributed to the charity works and advocacy of the NGO.
