2019: ATIKU/OBI GROUP VOWS TO DELIVER 1M VOTES IN DELTA

The Atiku/Obi Vanguard, a group for the actualization of the Presidential ambition of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi has promised to deliver not less than one million votes for the PDP Presidential candidate.

Mr Umukoro Okpako Jonathan, Delta State Coordinator of the group, disclosed this while addressing a strategy meeting of the group in Warri yesterday ahead of campaigns for the 2019 general elections.

The group which also vowed to resist all forms of rigging in the presidential election said that the movement had structures at the grassroots and across the 25 local government areas in Delta State.

Umukoro said that members of the group are experienced politicians with grassroots impacts and connections to attract support for Atiku Abubakar, adding “that any attempt to rig the 2019 election would be resisted by members of the group as the electoral law now provides for the instant announcement and transmission of the result from the polling units and ward levels in the presence of all stakeholders.

“Members of the Atiku/Obi Vanguard are optimistic that the 2019 election is the divine time for Atiku’s presidency because of the overwhelming acceptance of his candidacy across the country. He noted that Atiku has come up with his policy document on how to get Nigeria working again and therefore urged Nigerians to read and dissect it with the Next Level Lies being offered by the APC after their CHANGE failed Nigerians.

“Nigerians are desirous of change, the type of change that only Atiku Abubakar can provide, he said “stressing that the group is targeting to mobilise at least one million voters in synergy with other like minds toward the successful outing of Atiku/Obi at the polls in Delta,”

Also speaking, Deputy Coordinator of the group, Engr Hassan Yahaya described Atiku as the candidate to beat because of his vast knowledge of economy and business which is the bane of the nation’s economy today. He appealed to the electorates in Delta and Nigeria to consider voting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi so that Nigeria can start working again.

Members of the State Executive and Local Government Area coordinators attended the meeting where they expressed delight and willingness to carry out the winning strategies adopted at the meeting.
