INNOSON PRAISED FOR ROLES IN GROWING NIGERIA’S ECONOMY
The Chief Executive Officer of INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing Company, IVM, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, has been praised for his giant strides and assistance in growing the economy of Nigeria through the offer of massive employment opportunities to Nigerians, as well as exportation of homemade vehicles through which foreign exchange comes into the country.
The commendation was made on Monday, November 26, by Air Vice Marshal G.L Sanda when he led a delegation from the National Defense College Course 27, to a guided tour of INNOSON Technology and Industrial Company, Nnewi, Anambra state.
The 30 member delegation was made up of senior military officers from the rank of Colonel and their equivalent drawn from the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Others were drawn from the Nigerian Police, Strategic Federal Ministries, Agencies and Departments, as well as Armed Forces from other friendly countries.
Sanda said the delegation was at the INNOSON company to undertake training that would prepare participants for strategic level appointments in national and international assignments.
He said part of the reason for their visit to a strategic institution like INNOSON was to enable them to conduct research to ascertain their contributions to national development and security.
While confirming the durability of INNOSON vehicles, Sanda said the Nigerian Armed Forces has the intention of making INNOSON vehicles its official brand; as a way of assisting the company to grow.
Earlier, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, commended Chief Chukwuma, for being the only Nigerian that manufactures vehicles from the scratch, using mainly local raw materials.
According to the governor, Chukwuma’s strides would phase Tokumbo vehicles out of Nigeria; as the company now produces very sound vehicles for as low as N2 million.
Obiano commended the industrialist for making Nnewi, Anambra and Nigeria proud through his unequalled technology.
In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing Company, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, expressed gratitude over the encouraging and assuaging words of the governor and the delegation from the National Defense College, and promised that with the cooperation of concerned stakeholders and key actors, he would continue to make Nigeria proud through his innovations.
