Nnewi: FUNMDA GIFTS THE LESS PRIVILEGED TO END YEAR, 2018
As the year, 2018, ends, people in all walks of life are counting their blessings and thanking God for a good year.
To this end, the Fairly Used and New Motorcycle Dealers Association (FUNMDA) are not left out. The market held its end of year prayers on Friday, December 14, 2018.
The market association, led by Hon. Chieloka Ubajekwe started the event with a prayer session, where traders danced and praised God for a good year, despite numerous challenges and threats to motorcycle (Okada) business in Anambra State.
The market used the occasion to present gift items to the less privileged in the spirit of the forthcoming Christmas.
Speaking to Anaedoonline, the chairman of the market, Hon. Chieloka Ubajekwe said the gifts to the less privileged was their own little way of putting food on the tables of the less privileged in Nnewi and surrounding communities.
The chairman also spoke about the challenges of Okada ban, which, according to him, has affected their motorcycle business.
He requested the Anambra State government to look into the adverse effects of the ban/policy on the motorcycle business and the Anambra State economy.
