BREAKING: OBI NNEWICHI REJECTS NONSO OKAFOR’S HOMAGE VISIT.

The Traditional Ruler of Nnewichi Nnewi, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu) today, Saturday 16th March, 2019, rejected the homage visit of Nnewi North Member-Elect, Nonso Okafor (SMART).

According to our reporter who was present during the homage visit, Nonso Okafor, who won the recently concluded Anambra State House of Assembly Election for Nnewi North State Constituency, in company with his campaign team visited the palace the Traditional Ruler of Nnewichi, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu) to officially inform him of his victory and to receive the royal blessings of the Obi.

After their arrival, Obi of Nnewichi , George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu) who was in his palace requested to know the reason for their visit, the Vice Chairman of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Hon. Fabian Obi, explained to him that the team came to receive his royal blessings after their Saturday’s election victory, the visibly angry Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu) stood up and expressly told the campaign team that they are not welcomed. He said that he still maintains his earlier stand that he does not support any Odida Nnewichi indigene that ran for the State House Of Assembly which according to him was zoned to Okpuno part of Nnewichi. He thereafter walked away, entered his car and drove off.

It is important to note that Anambra State House of Assembly Member-Elect for Nnewi North State Constituency, Nonso Okafor, have visited and received the royal blessings of The Traditional Ruler of Nnewi and Grand Patron, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Dr. K.O.N Orizu III, the Obi of Uruagu Nnewi, Obi Afam Charles Obi (Ogidi IV), Obi Umudim, Obi Benneth Okafor (Amaukwu)
