Why is Buhari/Osinbajo Lying & Foot dragging?

The Second Niger Bridge contract was awarded by GEJ in 2013 under PPP which is a private partnership and it was awarded at the cost of N117bil.

The Federal government is only to contribute a sum which was 30bil of which GEJ government paid 21.2bil which is 71% of the 30bil through SureP. GEJ also paid 7bil for the completion of the preparatory work.

This project was supposed to have been finished in 2017 but work was stopped for over 35months at as 2018.

As at 2015 work has been done at 38% level before it was stopped by the Buhari/Osinbajo Administration.

Buhari & his media aids have been busy brandishing all sorts of lies that the bridge has been finished but none of them have taken that route to Onitsha.

Buhari & his APC including our VP Osinbajo keeps telling lies of how $2bil has been paid for the bridge which the only money they released in 2017 ( to get Igbo votes ) was 2bil naira for the bridge. They also mapped out to pay 3bil from the 2018 budget. That payment has not been seen.

All the visits of Obiano, Osinbajo to the site and level of work-in-progress was made during the 1st quarter of 2015.

In summary, Jonathan Govt paid 71% of FGN share of the cost, While Buhari’s govt has paid only 6.1%. This is foot-dragging and hypocrisy of the highest order.

Julius Berger, the Contractor, and Construction company will put Toll Gate on Completion of the Bridge to cover their cost.

The real People building the Bride are Nigerians that will use the Bridge, as they will REPAY the cost to Julius Berger.

So to the APC media urchins dancing and jubilating over the bridge, Buhari has only paid 6.1% of FG share while GEJ paid 71% before he left the office.

If Buhari is so serious on the bridge like how he has been serious on discovering oil in the north after wasting over 1bil$ while has he not liaised with Julius Beger and made funds available for the bridge to be finished not minding that work wasn’t done for 35 months on the bridge in his Regime because of his orders.

4 Good years of Buhari/Osinbajo we are still celebrating work in progress which they have only paid 6.1%(2bil naira) as against 71% GEJ paid on the FG share of it.

Buhari/Osinbajo are playing with us. They are never serious on the Second Niger Bridge. It’s simply a lip service affair. We will be here till 2023 to still celebrate work in progress for a contract that was supposed to have been commissioned in 2017.

When Buhari/Osinbajo is ready to work on our Second Bridge we will know when Julius Berger receives 22.9% cash being what is remaining of FG share for the contract.

So far its only 6.1% and fake news we have received from APC, Buhari & Osinbajo for the Second Niger Bridge.
