Former Igwe’s Drivers Nabbed For Stealing Igwe’s Car

According to a recent report, two suspects who allegedly stole a car belonging to a monarch in Anambra State have been arrested in Enugu State.

The suspects allegedly stole the car of Igwe of Adazi Ani Community, HRH Igwe Robert Nwankwo, in his compound at No.1 Niger Drive GRA Onitsha in Anambra State.

Confirming the arrest, the Anambra State police spokesman, Haruna Mohammed said: “On the 27/6/2019 at about 9pm, police detectives attached to Central Police Station, Onitsha in collaboration with Federal Highway Patrol team attached to Enugu State Police Command arrested one Ifeanyi Jude ‘m’ aged 25 years in Enugu State.”

He said the suspect conspired with one Okwudili Okoli, 30 and stole a Toyota Corolla car belonging to Igwe Nwankwo.

He also disclosed that the suspects who were drivers attached to the Igwe, initially denied having any knowledge of such incident when the vehicle was stolen on the May 24 until the principal suspect, Ifeanyi Jude, was intercepted with the vehicle along Nsukka road Enugu before he confessed and also indicted his accomplice.
