Erosion Victims Cries For Help, Takes Refuge in St Michael’s Parish Uga (Photos)

Women, children and entire Umueze village in Uga in Aguata LGA of Anambra State continue to wail uncontrollably as they lament their sorrow over Erosion menace which has swallowed their houses, crops, economic trees, properties, and lands.

The affected villagers now take refuge at St Michael’s Parish Uga, where they reside temporarily pending government intervention. The victims who expressed their feelings displaying different inscription on the placard they carried about the church premises.

The abysmal site which according to reports was as a result of a great deluge in different neighboring towns of Uga has left many families wandering like a refugee in their own home town.

Recall that Anaedoonline reported last week how this same erosion menace rendered over 30 Families homeless. The erosion affected two parts within a particular spot, Umueze community, Uga and Umuoru community are most hit by the disaster as it stretched from Umueze to Umuoru”.
