Spokesman of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ikenga Ugochinyere, has been released from detention.

Mr Ugochinyere paid a visit to Senator Dino Melaye on Monday after his release.

The CUPP spokesman was arrested after the House of Representatives, led by Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, directed the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to arrest Ugochinyere over the allegation he made against the House involving $10 million bribe.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was among those who called for Ugochinyere’s release.

However, earlier today, a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has granted an unconditional release to spokesperson for the Coalition of United Political Party, Ikenga Ugochinyere.

The court also reinforced the first order by restraining the police from arresting him again.

However, despite the directive of the court, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, is yet to comply with the order and release the CUPP Boss at that time.

But we can authoritatively say he has been released and in safe hands.
