Nnewi PDP Stakeholder Moves To Strengthen Women’s Wing

In preparation for the forthcoming Anambra state Gubernatorial elections, the people’s democratic party (PDP) held a consolidation meeting at Lady Chidi Onyemelukwe’s residence on Sunday 7th February 2021. 

Convened by Hon. Ndubuisi Unachukwu a stakeholder of the party; he assured participants that PDP Anambra state has bounced back to its full capacity.Participants at the meeting were members of joint Nnewichi women’s wing, Comrade Justina Nwafor (state Woman leader), Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu (State Publicity secretary), Ada Ozubulu (women mobilizer and aspirant South East zonal Woman leader), Mrs Chinwe Ofor (Nnewi north woman leader) lady Mrs Caro Agwuncha and two Nnewichi ward Chairmen.

While addressing the attendees, he emphasized that the views and purpose of the joint meeting was to bring to their notice the clear facts in Nnewi politics.

“Nnewichi ward 1 use to be at the top of the game and my objective is to strengthen the wards and reclaim back her former glory” he assured.


It was recalled that he has commendably pulled together the valuable stakeholders back to their fold and on this basis he pleads with the women to be steadfast, up and doing in their various rural areas.The party, he assured them, is ready to take the bull by the horn in the forthcoming Gubernatorial elections. “The party has a neat score card in terms of development irrespective of being on opposition side which I believe that the achievements so far will speak for our great party”

The women were excited and shared their concerns about the position of the late Local government chairman. He responded by saying “The death of Chief Oko Echendu is a painful one indeed and a big loss to all of us. Moreover it is an internal party affair that cannot be discussed outside the party, the party is already working towards it and he assures them that it will be soon clarified”


Other speakers also threw more light on the chances of the great party winning the Guber election this time and he assured them of the readiness of the party.
