The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Friday alleged the secret killing of its members and innocent people in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and in Benue State by Nigerian Military.
The spokesman for the group, Emma Powerful, claimed that the Nigerian military has been unleashing terror on IPOB supporters in Akwa Ibom as well as lower Benue.
He queried: “How can a responsible military use helicopter gunboats and military jets against ordinary citizens? Boko Haram, Miyetti Allah and terrorist groups have been killing soldiers and police in the North East and North West without soldiers using deadly force on nearest civilian settlements or using military jets to terrorise innocent citizens.”

He vowed that the constant attack would not make IPOB to go back on its resolve to pursue freedom.
“We are not going back, not one inch, until Biafra is fully restored. All those behind these genocidal attacks against innocent Biafrans know that vengeance is coming. They will all pay individually and collectively for their atrocities against civilians sooner rather than later,” he said.
Nigerian Military have embarked on a military action in Akwa Ibom and Benue, an action that has cost lives and properties of Nigerian citizens.
