Contracts for the reconstruction of economically important roads in local government areas have been awarded as part of a multilateral funding arrangement to enhance agriculture productivity and marketing.
The President of the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, Chief Jerry Kalu, commended the government’s efforts in rebuilding Abia. He emphasized that this agenda will significantly contribute to socio-economic growth in the state.
The Director of China Civil Engineering Construction Company, Mr. Eric Shen, expressed his gratitude to the state government and the local community for their support in completing the road project. He assured that the road was constructed with the highest engineering standards to stand the test of time, and it would greatly enhance the living standards of the residents.
The Commissioner for Works, Mr. Otumchere Oti, emphasized the government’s determination to change the state’s narrative regarding road network and infrastructure.
