The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will meet with governors, security agents, and several presidential hopefuls next Tuesday in preparation for the 2023 general elections.
In attendance will be the INEC Commissioner for Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye; Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje; his counterpart in Bauchi, Bala Mohammed; Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom; and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba.
Others include Action Alliance presidential candidate Hamza Al-Mustapha, Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council Yabagi Sani, the Nigerian Union of Journalists, and other election stakeholders.
INEC To Meet With Ganduje And Ortom Over 2023 Elections
The promoter of the show, Edwin Olofu, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Participants in the discussion, according to Olofu, who is also the Managing Director of Platinum Post, would discuss how the country can hold a credible and violence-free election next year.
According to the release, Al-Mustapha will deliver a keynote presentation on the theme ‘Contemporary Security Challenges & Their Impact on the 2023 Elections.’
