Renowned novelist Chimamanda Adichie appeared at the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja on Tuesday alongside the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Adichie, a fervent admirer of the former Anambra governor and LP flag bearer, was also spotted in court with Labour Party members.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar is also present in the trial.

The tribunal has resumed hearings in the petitioners’ adoption of written addresses.
Apart from suspected overvoting in portions of the South West, Peter Obi claims that the presidential election was manipulated against him in approximately 18,088 polling units.
However, in their last written addresses, the defendants requested the court to dismiss Obi’s plea for lack of merit.
Parties will present oral arguments on their respective cases, while the PEPC, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, will adjourn for a decision.
