Jubilation as Nnewi Indigene Emerges as Bishop

History was made on Wednesday the 4th of April 2018 as Ven. Dr. Prosper Amah an indigene of Akaboezem Uruagu Nnewi has emerged the Anglican Bishop-Elect of Ogbaru Diocese.

Ven. Prosper Amah emergence was because of the Translation of Ogbaru Diocesan Bishop Rt. Revd. Dr. Samuel Ezeofor to Aguata Diocese after the retirement of His Grace The Most Revd. Christian Efobi who Retired as the Bishop Of Aguata Diocese.

Ven. Dr. Prosper Amah the New Bishop-Elect of Ogbaru Diocese, until his election, served as an Archdeacon in one of the Archdeaconries in Ihiala Diocese.

Ven Dr. Prosper Amah will become the 2nd Nnewi indigene to become a Bishop Since the Death of Bishop Uzodike who was the First Nnewi indigene to become a Bishop.

It is excepted that Ven. Prosper Amah will Consolidate on the achievements of Rt. Revd. Dr. Samuel Ezeofor who was the First Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese.

However, it is important to note that Ven. Dr. Prosper Amah was Priested by His Grace The Most Revd. Godwin Okpala, the Bishop of Nnewi Diocese.

Ven. Dr. Prosper Amah is married to Mrs Uche Amah.
