NYCN INSTALLS PATRONS, PATRONESSES IN IDEMILI NORTH

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Idemili North LGA Charter, Anambra State, Saturday, December 15, installed its first-ever patrons and patronesses.

The ceremony held at the Idemili North Local Government headquarters, Ogidi, attracted politicians, business men and women, clergies, youth organizations, and people from all walks of life.

Some of those installed as patrons and patronesses include Ikechukwu Okosa, Sylvester Orie, S.O Egbunike, Vera Ezeaku, Vera Okonkwo, Ifeanyi Udochukwu, Chibuzor Okeke, Uche Oduche, Chinwe Obimma, Okay Maduekwe, Jerry Ubah, Solo Chukwulobelu, Chiekwu Ifeanyi Arthur, Charity Ezeji, among many others.

In his address during the event, the Idemili North Local Government Coordinator of NYCN, His Youthfulness, Comr. Echegwo Godwin Chibunna thanked the youth council at the state and national levels represented by Hon. Nwabufoh Nwankwo, and Comr. Innocent Nduanya, respectively for seeing to it that Idemili Chapter of the council was inaugurated. He also thanked those installed as patrons and patronesses for accepting to be part of them, promising that the NYCN in Idemili North will not betray the trust reposed in it.

He said that the essence of the installation was to raise men and women of proven integrity and character, who would mentor, advise and assist them in times of need; adding that with proper encouragement and support, the NYCN in the area will make the local government area proud.

The youth group also seized the opportunity of the installation to raise funds for the procurement of a brand new bus to enhance its mobility.

The group had also, prior to the installation, held talks and presentation of papers from eminent personalities from the council area and beyond.

Earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Nwabufoh Nwankwo commended the youths of Idemili North for organizing a very successful ceremony.

Nwankwo, who is the leader of the NYCN in Anambra, promised that he would continue to support the youth council in the area.
