Attention today turned to the Industrial and Commercial city of Nnewi as close friends, business moguls, associates, government functionaries, and well wishers of the late Dr. Dozie Ikedife (Ikenga Nnewi) who passed on December 11th, 2019, gathered today Friday 5th April 2019, at Anaedo Social Club Hall, Nnewi, Anambra State, to celebrate the life and times of the Former President of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi.

For hours, tributes, poetry, special music renditions were rendered in honour of the deceased as part of the Day of Tributes put together by the family of Dozie Ikedife.
Many of the old students of Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha, which he attended from 1946 to 1950, were also present with their old boys association uniforms to eulogize the late Dozie Ikedife.
pluSpeaking during the event, the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Dr. Willie Obiano, who was represented by his Deputy, His Excellency, Dr. Nkem Okeke described the Late Dozie Ikedife as one man who will be dearly missed especially his contribution to the growth of the society, he however urged his son Dozie Ikedife Jnr. to step into the shoes which his father left.
Speaking also, the Wife of Late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, Ambassador Bianca said that Dozie Ikedife remains a man who is worthy to be emulated especially purposeful youths who wants reach the top.

The Former Governor of Anambra State, Dame Virginia Ngozi Etiaba, also appreciated the contributions of Late Dozie Ikedife to humanity, she recounted how Dozie Ikedife helped her during her trying times as the Executive Governor of Anambra State.
