Is Nekede Poly To FUTO Road Leading To Golgotha Or University? (photos)

Motorists, residents and students appeal to the Imo State Government to address the issue of bad  Federal Polytechnic Nkede school road (Umuerim) as it has badly deteriorated to the extent that its now a death trap.

Motorists, residents and students have lamented repeatedly about the deplorable state of the Federal Polytechnic Nkede school road (Umuerim) as the current state is nothing to write home about.

A bus driver who spoke to Anaedoonline.com in anonymity lamented about the stress and risk transporters who ply this route daily go through, as well as extra expenses of repairing broken down vehicles caused by the bad road.

Speaking,he said, “this has become a nightmare for we, bus drivers, I take big risk daily plying this road and it got worse this rainy season. We appeal to the Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha to look into this issue as a matter of urgency.”

Also speaking , Chisom, a student of Federal Polytechnic Nkede, complained bitterly about the Road , she also highlighted what students go through to get to school daily and nothing has been done to remedy the situation.

Speaking, she said,” the road is so bad, students going for lectures spend about an hour on this bad road before they get to school, a road that normally takes less than ten minutes, now takes forever. I am aware that this road is a state road,is the Governor waiting for people to start dying on it before giving it some attention? .”

For Chinedu, a business man , the business has not been smooth , due to the menace of the deplorable state of the Federal Polytechnic road (Umuerim). He lamented how the previous administration failed to do anything about the bad road and pleaded with the incumbent Governor, Emeke Ikedioha, to come to their rescue as it would make life easier for them.

Speaking, he said,”business have not been easy for us, the number of vehicles delivering goods that break down while moving from Naze to Ihiagwa due to bad road is ridculous. It has led to increased cost of logistics of transporting goods. I appeal to the State Government to please make this road motorable.”
