A prominent supporter of the Senator who pleaded for anonymity while speaking to our correspondent said that the Senator’s choice of Augustine Ikeh has exposed how poorly the senator reason.

Speaking he said, “My brother, how on earth will the Senator prefer Ikedoji over Banquo and Jalou? I don’t understand the Senator’s decision. Augustine Ikeh can never win any election in Nnewi even in his Umunna, go to Edoji which is his village, and make your investigation. When he was the Publicity Secretary of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, he made a lot of enemies in Nnewi, tell me any stakeholder in Nnewi that will support him?

Continuing he said, “Go to Uruagu and ask questions, the guy almost destroyed his community leadership by creating crisis, the same in happened Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, before Uruagu Community recalled him from Nzuko-Ora Nnewi. He has issues with many stateholders in the town.

Another member of the camp said that he was not impressed with the Senator’s decision, emphasizing that the Senator doesn’t reward loyalty and that Augustine Ikeh and YPP will lose the election. Speaking he said, “Most of us who are loyalists of the Senator in Nnewi are not happy with him, Ikedoji is not going nowhere, let’s see who will even campaign and what he will campaign with, we have decided that we will not have anything to do with him, I won’t say much”
